Suitsupply Touches Down in Philadelphia
PHILADELPHIA (April 25, 2013) – The European men’s fashion label, Suitsupply, will soon be calling a 4,300 square foot corner of Rittenhouse Square its new home; bringing its unique cuts and tailored fits to The City of Brotherly Love. With use of only the finest Italian fabrics, and their attention to detailed construction, Suitsupply delivers a new dimension to a city that loves great style. Philly’s vibrant downtown atmosphere and broad base of clientele makes the northern metropolis a natural location for the new settlement. Now, Suitsupply brings its signature look to an historic 84-year-old former hotel in the heart of Philly, at 1601 Locust Street.
The new settlement arrives just behind the launch of their 2013 Spring/Summer collection. This season, Suitsupply focused its attention on rich hues and bold textures. Indigo-colored wool, linen and silk form the backbone of the collection; denim shirts are paired with double-breasted suits, while indigo is paired with some of their most formal shoes. Centering on themes of structure and modern refinement, these outfits have a sophisticated feel to them. Linen-silk and fine wool fabrics are woven with mélange fibers in burnt orange, faded red, and ochre-accented colors, resulting in remarkable structures and uniquely refined looks.
Founded in Amsterdam by Fokke de Jong in 2000, Suitsupply has grown to 44 stores (and counting) in Europe and the U.S. Having established itself in cities like Milan, London, Brussels, New York, and Chicago, Suitsupply continues its expansion with locations in Denver, Toronto and Shanghai in the works. In addition to their retail locations, Suitsupply holds a very strong e-commerce presence, allowing them to bring their signature high quality tailoring and personal service to customers the world over.
